A jet-engined hyper car was introduced to the world in 2017 by Ariel which was named the P40. It was supposed to be the fastest accelerating car. It was supposed to come with an Aluminium monocoque chassis with carbon fibre panels which means it should be really lightweight. Electric motors which should be 4 were supposed to run the car which implies that one to deliver 220kw to every wheel. It would also have a jet engine with a gas turbine. It would do a 15 minute track performance before going for a 50 minute charge up. It was supposed to do 0-100kph in less than 2.5secs and its speed governor sees to it that it doesn’t go beyond 257kph packing 1180hp and 1330 lb-ft of torque.
It’s been 3 years and the England based Ariel has decided to give us updates on this great machine. Even though we do not have all the information yet, we believe we would be having some concrete visuals come September 9, 2020 in Millbrook, England. This hypercar was supposed to be unveiled in 2019 but there were no insight into why that couldn’t be. We hope pricing would also come with access to the performance machine by then
