Volvo car group which is owned by the Zhejiang Geely Holdings of China has been recognized by the Ethisphere Institute. Ethisphere is that institute that defines and advances the standard of ethical business practices in the world.
Ethisphere Institute recognizes Volvo
Ethisphere has recognized Volvo as one of the companies in the world who has been found to operate at a height of standard of ethical business practices. Volvo is a 2019 world’s most ethical company®. Volvo happens to be one of the only four in the automotive category. Only 128 companies made it to the list for this year. This is the third time in a row that Volvo will be getting this recognition. The other three companies in the automotive category are; APTIV, CUMMINS and OSHKOSH.
Aptiv is a UK based company that deals with developing safer and greener solutions for mobility. This is the seventh year in a row that Ethisphere Institute has recognized Aptiv as a global leader in defining and advancing the standards of ethical business practices, as one of the 2019 World’s most ethical Companies®.

Cummins is an American fortune 500 organization that designs, manufactures and distributes engines and power generation and their headquarters at Columbus, Indiana, US. It was founded in the year 1919 and was formerly Cummins Engine Company and it currently has about 58,000 people in its employ and that includes Nigeria where they have their office in Lagos.
Oshkosh Corporation, formerly Oshkosh trucks is an American corporation founded in the year 1917. It specializes in specialty trucks, military vehicles, truck bodies, airport fire apparatus and access equipment. Oshkosh Corporation specializes in four major areas; Access equipment, Defense, fire and emergency and commercial. Their access equipment includes sky trak brand telehandlers, wheeled and tracked boom lifts. Defense offerings being Light Combat tactical all-terrain vehicle (L-ATV), Tactical vehicles, TerraMax- autonomous vehicle technology with some high tech mapping system that allows it to map out terrains and intelligently decide what route to ply. It is a military vehicle that is able to handle nearly any terrain. It was tested out by James May of TopGear alongside a Range rover sport.
TerraMax is an offering of the Oshkosh Defense. It is designed for military missions and freight transport to high risk areas without the possibility of military personnel casualty. Oshkosh started developing the TerraMax fully in 2003. There was a DARPA Grand Challenge in March of 2004. TerraMax was one of the only seven teams able to successfully pass through the rigour of the terrain. The idea of a driverless military vehicle using artificial vision and intelligence system is a reality by Oshkosh.
